Delta Communications officially began trading in 1992. From humble beginnings, Terrence Watkins identified a need for reliable and efficient Two Way Radio communications and technical support. Today, Delta Communications boasts a fully equipped electronic workshop; with a wealth of knowledge and expertise accumulated by the technical and administrative personnel currently running the day to day operations of a successful enterprise.
Terrence began his journey in 1980 with an apprenticeship as a Communications Radiotrician on the South African Railways. After successfully completing his apprenticeship and qualifying in his trade, Terrence left the S.A.R. and gathered much more experience and expertise in the private and government sectors, to name but a few:
- South African Railways Radio Workshop in Durban
- OHM Mobile Communications, a radio communications company in Empangeni
- Natal Communications in Durban
- South African Police Services Radio Workshop in Durban
- Barlows Communications in Pinetown (LASSCO), repairing S.A.D.F. , S.A. Navy, and S.A. Airforce radio equipment.
Terrence is also a registered Ham Radio Operator with the South African Radio League S.A.R.L. operating under the callsign ZS5E.
